Richard Stanley "Dick" Button, Sr., 81, of the 100 block of Cedar Rd., Chesapeake, VA, passed away on November 7, 2011. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 13 years, Julia Eaves Button of Chesapeake, VA; daughters, Susan Bowen and husband Thomas, Gayle Wilson and husband Jerry, Claire Yandle and husband James, all of Virginia Beach, VA, Cassandra Hampton and husband Scott of Florida, Lynn Hoover of Corpus Christie, TX, Cheryl Stockton and husband Edward of Florida, and Donna Wold and husband David of Chicago, IL; sister, Laura Sipe and husband Jack of Middletown, PA; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Jean Button of Corpus Christie, TX. He was predeceased by his son, Richard Stanley Button, Jr. A funeral service will be held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel at 5 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2011. The family will receive friends 30 min prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Dick's memory to the church of one's choice.
