I knew Richard as a brother-in-law, my sisters loving husband, and a gourmet of vegetarian fare. I learned so much about Philadelphia from Richard. He and Theresa would go places and do things in Philly and in New York. They enjoyed life by going out to enjoy new sights and places.

They worked hard to plan their retirement in their home. I'm so glad they had those years together.

Your father was one of the funniest people to be around. I have so many hilarious memories of him and your mother. He was a child at heart. He loved and cared for you from the moment you were born. They both did. Take that love and give it to your girls. It is through love that we share that gives life meaning and hope. Carry that love and those memories in your heart and you will find peace.

Toohey was my best friend to me& loving friend to Cindy since we were teenagers and he worked for food fair packer ave. He was my voice of reason in many situations and was always there. We will miss him terribly and will never forget him..Hope to see you in the future my friend..

I grew up with "Dickie" on Dewey Street in Southwest Philadelphia. For most of our elementary school years we were best friends, spending every day together during the summer and most days after school skating, bicycle riding, Cub Scouts, etc. One of my fondest memories is spending weekends with Dickie and his parents at their Ventnor, NJ summer home. After elementary school (Saint Barnabas) we drifted apart but remained friends. After high school, we went in different directions and sadly,

Mrs Toohey, his Mom, would often make lunch for both of us during the summer months while we played with our toys. Both his Mom and Dad are/were great people, real "salt of the earth" folks who always had a kind word for Dickie's friends.

Dickie was a great boyhood pal and I have nothing but fond memories of my "best friend". I wish his family my deepest sympathy upon his much too early passing. Rest in peace my friend, Joe
