Rigopoula I. Halkias (nee Christodoulakis), age 62, of Rahway, passed away on Tuesday January 15, 2013, at the Hackensack University Medical Center. Beloved wife for 42 years of Ioannis Halkias. Loving mother of Sophia Lahanas and her husband Vasilios and Elias Halkias and his wife Melissa. Devoted daughter of Sophia and the late Kostantinos Christodoulakis. Caring sister of Irini Magriplis and Ioannis Lagonikos. Cherished grandmother of George, Rigopoula, Ioulia Lahanas, and Rigopoula Halkias. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral on Saturday January 19, 2013, at 8:45 am, at the Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home 211 Westfield Ave., Clark, thence to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Westfield, where a Funeral Service will be offered at 10 am. Born in Volada, Karpathos Greece, Mrs. Halkias has resided in Rahway for the past 41 years. Mrs. Halkias was a homemaker. She will be greatly missed by her family.
