Robbie J. Stroud, 77, of Beebe, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on May 28, 2012. He was born in Floyd to John and Mamie Stroud on February 7, 1935. Robbie was a member of Pleasant Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a retired diesel mechanic. Robbie served his country through service in the United States Navy. Fishing and camping were the hobbies that Robbie enjoyed most.
Robbie was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Olga Vranich; son, John Riley Stroud, II; brothers, Alphen, J. R., Douglas, Eldon, Myron, Hyrom and Wilbur Stroud; and one sister, Helen Belew.
He is survived by son Robbie, Jr. and his wife Denise Stroud of Beebe; granddaughter Heather Stroud of Beebe; daughter-in-law Connie Stroud of Ward; grandson Riley and his wife Mallory Stroud of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Louise Baskin of Jonesboro; brother, Wayne Stroud of North Little Rock; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
