Robell Bryant Clark

Robell Bryant "Bud" Clark, of Daniels, passed away October 8, 2011 at home following a short illness.
Mr. Clark was born February 25, 1919 in White Sulphur Springs to the late Charles Clinton Clark and Matilda Agnes Bostic.
Robell was a retired Postmaster for the U.S. Postal Service after 31 years of service. He enjoyed gardening and worked to document the history of the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was an active member of the Civilian Conservation Corps for two years from 1937 to 1939. He participated in volunteer work for the Little Beaver S.P. Recreation Authority and was instrumental in developing and building the Blue Jay Lake. Moreover he was a sergeant in the Army and last served at Ashford General Hospital.
Robell was preceded in death by his wife Minnie Belle Lilly and daughter Martha Sue Miles, as well as five sisters; Wraynell Slankard, Reba Wagner, Grace Marquardt, Glenna Feil and Lorina Clarice Clark.
Those left to cherish his memory include his two loving granddaughters Tricia Lynn Miles of Daniels, WV and Stacie Alison Miles of Wilmington, NC and son-in-law Gary "Jack" Miles of Daniels, WV.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, with Reverend Jack Thomas officiating, following the services Mr. Clark will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Friends may gather with the family from 1:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
