Bob Crane
Pickens, SC
Robert Lewis "Bob" Crane, 74, of 210 Rolling Pines Drive, passed away Tuesday, September 06, 2011 at his home.
Born in Macon County, NC, he was the son of the late Columbus Homer Crane and Ruby Grant Crane.
Mr. Crane was retired from Platt-Saco Lowell after 41 years of service. He was a member of Mile Creek Baptist Church and was a US Army Veteran.
Surviving is his wife of the home, Frances Kelley Crane; a daughter, Pamela C. Muse (Curtis) of Pickens; three grandchildren, Angie M. Simon (Chris) of Pickens, April M. Stegall of Pickens, and Kenneth L. Muse (Alena) of Easley; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Holcombe of Walhalla and Charlotte Littleton of Greenville; and two brothers, Dean Crane and Eddie Crane both of Salem.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Carolyn Reid, and a brother, Ben Crane.
A memorial service to celebrate Mr. Crane's life will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to help children in need c/o Elljean Baptist Church, 605 Elljean Rd., Easley, SC 29640.
The family will be at the home.
