Robert "Bob" Lampert passed away peacefully at his home in Round Rock, TX on the morning of February 18th, 2012 at the age of 70. Born on May 28th, 1941 in East Orange, NJ to Andre & Helen Lampert and was one of four children. He met the love of his life, Barbara, while they were in high school & they recently celebrated their 50th anniversary on December 9th, 2011. After high school, Bob earned a Business degree from Monmouth College. Upon graduation, he spent the majority of his career working in the carpet industry. Later, he made a career change & began building custom homes in the Austin area.
Bob was truly an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend and was adored by all that knew him. He was extremely generous, honorable & kind. He loved traveling to Alaska, fishing, working in the yard & reading; although his greatest joy in life was to be with his family, grandchildren and his devoted dog Saki. Bob will be missed by all whom knew him.
Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara Lampert; his children, Laurie Uhrig & her husband Scott, Robert Lampert & his wife Stephanie, Michelle Murphy & her husband Patrick, Amy Lockett & her husband Jeff and his ten grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all of the many people whom cared for him over the last year, especially Dr. Shane Mills in Round Rock & the team of health care professionals of Health Sense Home Care. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 25th at 11:00am at Emmaus Catholic Parish, 1718 Lohman's Crossing, Lakeway, TX 78734.
