Robert "Cecil" Castellow, Sr., 81, of the 200 block of Woodbridge Drive, Chesapeake, VA, passed away June 16, 2011, in a local hospital. A native of Norfolk County, VA, he was the son of the late Romie and Susie Castellow. He was the retired Owner and Operator of C&R Hauling. He was a member of Heritage Community Church. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Ruth E. Castellow, two daughters, Rebecca E. Bennett and husband Tom and Patricia C. Woodruff and husband Woody, all of Chesapeake, VA; a son, Robert C. Castellow, Jr. of Kill Devil Hills, NC; a sister, Barbara Wicker of Hampton, VA; a brother, Wilbert Castellow of Chesapeake, VA; eleven grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, R. Welton Castellow, Jr.; and a sister, Betty Sue Gordon. A graveside service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens with Pastor Asa Lowe officiating. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Alzheimer's and Related Disorders, 6350 Center Dr., Suite 102, Norfolk, VA 23502.
