Notter, Robert D. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at home with his family by his side. Age 73 years. Robert Dean Notter was born March 15, 1939 in Saginaw, the son of the late Donald and Annabelle (Soper) Notter. He married Laetta (Spangler) Meyers in 1963 and had two children, Janel Notter, Speedway, IN and Bradley (Heather) Notter, Saginaw. He also leaves one granddaughter, Jordyn Straight, Saginaw; a brother, Alan (Lana) Notter, Bridgeport; a sister, Sandra (Frank) Jermann, Casselberry, FL; and many nieces and nephews. He was also formerly married to Lois Phillips who remained his companion and special friend. Her children, Gloria, Laura, Linda, Brenda, and Paul, their spouses, and her many grandchildren held a special place in his heart. Robert graduated from Frankenmuth High School in 1957. Robert retired from CSX railroad. In his retirement he was a dedicated Detroit Tigers fan and a classic car enthusiast enjoying many local car shows with his 1958 Ford Fairlane Skyliner retractable. Robert was a member of First United Methodist Church. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a future date.
