Our father, husband, brother, and best friend was taken by the hand of God at his home Saturday morning, April 28, 2012 at the early age 48.

Dale was born August 31, 1963 in Payson, Utah to Richard Boyd and Eva Mae Dansie Leavitt. He was raised in Salem and attended Spanish Fork High.

Dale married Jackie Tanner in 1981 and their daughter, Crystal was born. Dale and Jackie later divorced. Dale married Cindy Nelson Leavitt on April 9, 1988 in Las Vegas. They built a beautiful home there and Lauren, Cody, and Paige were born into their family. Dale moved his family back to Utah where he could more fully enjoy raising his beloved children.

In between working, he made time to fish, golf, camp, roller-blade, snowboard, and bike with his children. He loved being up to date with the latest technologies. There are no words to describe what an amazing man Dale was. Everyone who knew him, loved him; his wit, his chats, and his heart.

Dale is survived by his wife Cindy; his children Crystal, Lauren, Cody, and Paige. Siblings: Shauna (Mike) Theobald, Sheryl (Keith) Roundy, Rick (Brenda,) David (Stephanie), and Alison (Dan) Mecham. He was preceded in death by both parents; brother, Ronald; and sister, Janalyn.

A viewing will be held Thursday May 3, 2012 at Walker Mortuary, 187 S. Main, in Spanish Fork from 6 – 8 pm. Funeral will be Friday at 11 am with a viewing one hour prior at the LDS Chapel located at 761 E. 400 N., Spanish Fork. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at any Zions Bank.

Dad, we love and miss you more than we can bear. It hurts to have you leave, but we rejoice for where you have gone. Say hi to grandma and grandpa for us all and know we will love you always and will be together again soon.
