Robert Dean Melton May 4, 1934 – February 17, 2012 Robert Melton, 77 of Albany, passed away Friday at his home. Robert was born in Topeka Kansas to Victor and Florence (Fadley) Melton. He started driving truck at the age of 17 and continued for 60 years total, he married Nettie Howerton on July 6, 1962 in Topeka Kansas during his truck driving years he worked for Willamette Trucking from 1973 to 1998 and then later drove for Eldon Townsend from 2002-2011 parking his truck for the last time only three months ago. He is survived by his wife; children, Don Erickson of Lacomb, Debbie Miller of Halsey; grandchildren, Dylan, Andy and Charlene; great grandchildren, Peytton, Dakota, Cooper, Alayna, Ryan and Austin. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and son, Bobby Melton. Services will be held at a later date.
