Funeral services for Robert Edwin Sebesta, 77, of Snook, are set for 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 15, 2011, at Hope Evangelical Free Church in College Station, with Bro. Rudy Junek and Bro. John Gantt officiating. Interment will follow at Snook Cemetery, under the care and direction of Strickland Funeral Home of Caldwell. A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, April 14, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. Mr. Sebesta passed away on April 11, 2011, in Snook, Texas. Pallbearers are Jimmy Joe Svec, Ronnie Horcica, Vincent Svec, Edward (Chooch) Macik, Richard Sebesta, Michael Lee McCoy, B. J. Hejl, and Ronnie Hejl. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Schroeder, Chuck McCoy, Donnie Hejl, Jack Stifflemire, Kenneth Macik, and Kenneth Vajdak. Robert was born April 24, 1933, to Edwin Frank Sebesta and Frances Vlasta Macik Sebesta, in Snook, Texas He married Frances (Macik) Sebesta on November 16, 1951. He spent his life ranching and farming and enjoyed deer hunting. He loved having his family around him especially for the holidays and loved having the kids around him playing. Robert is survived by his wife, Frances; sons and daughters-in-law, Waldo and Linda Sebesta of Snook, Bobby and Brandi Sebesta of Snook, daughter, Shirley Sebesta Burkhalter of Snook; sisters and brother-in-law, Alice and Paul Corder of College Station, Tracy Pye of Bryan; six grandchildren, Major John E. Sebesta, USAF, Robert (Bubba) Sebesta, Kasey Sebesta Brown, Kelly Sebesta, Kerrianne Sebesta, Justin Tarver; five great grandchildren, Courtney Sebesta, Emma Sebesta, Jake Sebesta, Bobby Arlt, Jakob Arlt.
