Robert Henry Stone, 86, a resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, December 2, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Suzanne Sauter Stone of Albuquerque, NM; son, David Henry Stone of Loves Park, IL; daughter, Diane Stone Potter of Davis, CA; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Harry O. and Frances Stone. He was born in Chicago, IL in 1925, entered the United States Army Air Force following high school, and served for two years during WWII as a turret gunner on B-24's. He received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees at DePaul University in Chicago and a JD Degree in Law. Bob taught in the Chicago and Albuquerque Public Schools for many years, retiring in 1990. He was an avid gun enthusiast. Bob was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be celebrated on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., at the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel. Ennichment will follow.
