ROBERT HENRY McGLINCHEY November 19, 1925 – June 25, 2012 Robert Henry McGlinchey was born on November 19, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan. His proud parents were Henry and Agnes (nee Kelly) McGlinchey and were of Irish descent. He died on June 25, 2012 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. He was 86 years of age. Bob was a resident of Southfield, Michigan for over 50 years and was formerly of Oak Park, Michigan. He graduated in 1942 from Catholic Central High School where he lettered in baseball and football. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy during World War II. He was stationed in Pearl Harbor after the Japanese invasion. After the war, he graduated from Assumption College in Windsor, Ontario, Canada in 1949. He retired in 1990 as a Systems Analyst for DTE Energy after 37 years of dedicated service. Bob was a computer buff and he enjoyed spectator sports, golf, bowling and travel. Bob was the beloved husband of Helen Marie McGlinchey (nee Lazarus) and they were married for 59 years. Dear father of John R. "Jay" McGlinchey (Irene). His Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 10am at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 32340 Pierce Street in Beverly Hills, Michigan. Friends may visit at church after 9:30am. The McGlinchey Family is suggesting memorial tributes to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P. O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
