Robert J. Causey, age 76 of Vass died Saturday (January 22, 2011) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Archie Stevens. Burial will follow at Johnson Grove Cemetery.

A native of Moore County he was a son of the late William B. and Lillian Mae Patterson Causey. He had retired from the Forestry business. He was preceded in death by: sisters Viola Brewer and Evelyn Cameron; brothers William Causey and James Causey.

He is survived by: his wife of nearly 55 years Nellie Hart Causey; daughter Rhonda C. Hogan and husband Alan of Elerbe; son Mitchell Causey of Vass; sister Lois Hoyle of Lakeview; brother Felton Causey of Southern Pines.
