Robert L. Renner Obituary


Robert L. Renner, 83, of the Folsom section of Ridley Township, a retired Boeing builder and union steward, died October 6, at Taylor Hospital. Born in Altoona, he was a graduate of Altoona High School. Mr. Renner was a resident of Folsom for 50 years. For more than 20 years, Mr. Renner was a gig and fixture builder for Boeing Co. in Ridley Township where he was a loxal 1069 union steward for 18 years. Mr. Renner was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a fund-raiser with the Masons and was active with the Shriners. Mr. Renner was also active with Meals on Wheels and Norwood United Methodist Church. He was the widower of Dorothy J. Barr Renner. Mr. Renner was the father of the late Robert A. Renner and the son of the late Walter C. and Mary Zimmermann Renner. He is survived by his son; James W. Renner of Upper Chichester; daughter, Barbara A. Chreiman of Folcroft; brother, William Renner of Ohio; sister, Helen Palmer of Media; dear friend, Charlotte Ludman; six grandchildren. Interment Edgewood Memorial Park, Concord Township.
