Robert Lee "Bob" Johnson, 76, of the 1400 block of Bayberry Court South, passed away April 18, 2009, in Chesapeake, VA.

A native of Henderson, NC, he was retired owner of Johnson Resources Accounting and Bookkeeping on Battlefield Blvd. in Chesapeake, VA. He also retired from the United States Navy. He was a member of the Aragona Pembroke Lions Club, the VFW Post 40 and the Fleet Reserve Association.

He is survived by his wife, Nell Johnson; his son, Donnie Lee Johnson and wife Christine of Virginia Beach, VA; and a granddaughter, Tiffany Lynne Johnson.

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel with Dr. Paul Hardy officiating. The burial will follow in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
