Robert Lee Nusbaum, Jr. was born February 28, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Robert Lee Nusbaum, Sr. and the late Lois
Maranna Logan. He departed this life on July 21, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was united in marriage and leaves behind his loving wife, Kimiko Evans. To this union two children were born. He leaves to cherish his sweet memories as the devoted father of two daughters:
Catherine Evans with Paul Huynh, and Trudy Gastrock with her husband Mark Gastrock; six grandchildren: Brian Leao, Tatiana

Bob grew up in Hollywood, California where he attended Hollywood High. He later went onto a career in nursing where he spent the majority of his career at Laguna Honda Hospital in San Francisco, California. During the last chapter of his profession at Laguna Honda he was the Free-Wheelers bus driver where he took the residents out to various outings such as, restaurants, ball games, camping trips, parades and to his favorite gambling place, Reno, which brought him a lot of joy.
Bob’s interests included reading and watching western movies. He appreciated Johnny Cash’s music. He took pleasure in taking his family swimming while he would relax in the jacuzzi. He enjoyed taking his family out to restaurants. Most of all, Bob loved gambling black-jack in Reno, Las Vegas, and Laughlin.
Bob was a stern man but he had such a loving heart and was always ready to lend a hand to everyone. Overall, Bob lived a full and great life and he will forever live on as we keep his loving memories within our hearts.
