Robert John Munz was born in 1942 in Syracuse, New York. Bob grew up in Syracuse and graduated from the Christian Brothers Academy. While in Syracuse he started his skating career. Bob came to Ohio to attend John Carroll University and continued his skating at the Cleveland Skating Club. While in Cleveland he completed his Gold Dance tests, won a national Silver Dance Championship, placed second in the national Gold Dance Championship and sixth in the 1964 World Dance Championships. He turned professional and embarked on a successful coaching career which lasted many years. In 1966 Bob married Carol Adams; they have four children, Catherine (Camie), Robert (Rob) Ryan Elizabeth and Diana Marie. The family loves the water and enjoyed swimming and boating at Mentor Harbor Yachting Club. In 1972 Bob and William P. Adams started A&M Sales Incorporated, a company specializing in the manufacture and distribution of specialty tools and equipment for the electric and telephone utilities for cable placement. In these last year's Bob enjoyed spending time with his six grandchildren, Charlie, Molly and Megan Miller, Bobby and William Munz and Sydney Gabriella DePetro. All refer to Grandpa as "Grape".
