WHITE OAK - Robert N. "Buster" Melvin, 89, of 6581 River Road, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011.
Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, in First New Light Missionary
Baptist Church in White Oak. The family received friends from 6 to 7p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011,
at F.W. Newton & Sons Mortuary, 403 Martin St. in Elizabethtown. He served in the U.S.
Army during World War II. He is survived by his daughters, Edna Carter, Gaylor Simons,
and Blondean Christian; and sons, Robert Melvin, Clifton Melvin and Kenneth Clark-Melvin;
seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
