Robert K. Packer Nov. 21, 1925 – Oct. 26, 2009 Robert "Bob" Packer passed away peacefully at home in Hayden, Idaho. he is survived by his loving wife, Verla, of 35 years; his two children: Steve (Denise) Packer of Columbus, Indiana and Kathy Packer of Elkhart, Indiana; three step sons: Robert R. Rickel of Athol, Kenneth (Cathy) W. Rickel of Athol and Randall K. Rickel of Auburn, Washington. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Bob served in the Navy during WWII. In 1983, after working 31 years for NIPSCO in Indiana; he retired to Hayden. He enjoyed traveling, camping, reading, crossword puzzles, games and playing cards. At Bob's request, there will be no service. Memorials may be sent to the Hospital Auxiliary at Kootenai Medical Center.
