Robert ‘Bill’ Powell May 29, 1929 — Nov. 3, 2009 Robert “Bill” Powell, 80, died at 4:02 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2009 in Millers Merry Manor. He was born in Bath County, Kentucky to Rollie and Lacy (Corey) Powell and lived most of his life in Marion. He married Lula Warren. She survives. Bill retired from ABC Rail in Anderson, Indiana. He was a member of Jalapa Rd. Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lula Powell, Marion; sisters, Donna Crump, Owingsville, Ky.; May Pergram, Olympic, Ky., Fae Brown, Moorehead, Ky., Edith Roll, Marion; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; special great niece and nephews, Hannah Warren, Skyler Warren, Conner Warren. Mr. Powell is preceded in death by his sister, Pauline Vice; brother, Thomas Powell. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2009 in Richie-Hunt Funeral Home, 89 Slate Avenue, Owingsville, Kentucky with the Rev. Lowell Rice officiating. Burial will be in Old Virginia Cemetery, Owingsville, Ky. Marion visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday November 5, 2009 in Needham Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Avenue, Marion, Indiana. Kentucky visitation will be after 5 p.m. Saturday November 7, 2009 in Richie-Hunt Funeral Home, Owingsville, Kentucky.
