I wish I could hear you say Tyson's name, I wish I could tell you how much I really loved you, I wish I could hold your hand one last time, I wish I could kiss your sweet face again but I am so thankful for the time we had together.
Remember when I would come visit and you would take me to church, then we HAD to get a dunkin donuts chocolate dipped donut? Then you always took me to Sears at the Square One Mall. You never bought anything but you would try to show me all the tools (as if you didn't already have every single one). That donut was the best donut in the world on those Sundays.
I remember the house on Preston Street and how you would keep a stash of twizzlers under your lamp table in the parlor...only for Brutus but you let me have one once in a while. I remember how you loved chinese on New Years and how you never forgot to get me the "pink" fried rice from Weylu's. I remember how you used to shave downstairs in the bathroom in the kitchen. Remember when you came to my high school graduation (both of them haha) and sat through all 800 some students just to hear my name called? I remember it. I have some great memories of you Papa...I have some funny ones too.
Of all the things though Papa, the one memory I will hold close to my heart and lock away is the way you looked at Nana. No matter what after all these years you still looked at her with such love and compassion. A love that only you two will ever understand. You opened your eyes one last time to tell her it was ok and that you will be waiting for her. Thanks for that...she needed it. We all needed it...you got to see Ty for the first time then. I will cherish the memories Papa and I will tell him all about you when he gets older.

This past year has been the most rewarding year of my life. We shared so much laughter. I'll always remember when you were cutting the blocks for the walkway on the wet saw. You yelled into MaMa and told her to plug it in...What a surprise you got when the water started flowing, but not in the right place, it was like a sprinkler all over your face hahaha...we laughed so hard our sides were hurting! I loved helping you, I loved the smile you gave me when we got your yard the way you liked. It was a proud smile, a smile as if to say " damn it looks good".
I will always remember your sense of humor and the trust you had in me these past 5 months, Dad its changed my life forever. You were not only my Father, but my friend, my hero, and now my angel. I will forever love you Dad.

And that's something that I've always wanted. He taught me a lot, and one thing that he taught me is; that you should never feel sorry for yourself. Papa was indeed a strong person. But I believe he helped turn me into a strong
