Mr. Robert S. Murray, age 84, of Lynn, died on Wednesday October 24, 2012 at Union Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Mary Rose (Beatrice) Murray, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. Born in Chelsea, he was the son of the late Judson and Frances (Goss) Murray. He was raised in Revere and had lived in Lynn for the past 58 years. Mr. Murray had worked as a toll collector on the Massachusetts Turnpike, retiring in 1990. He was an avid gardener, who enjoyed distributing his tomatoes to his family and friends. He loved sports, especially the Red Sox, jigsaw puzzles, music and taking day trips. In addition to his wife, he is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late William, Frederick, and Donald Murray and Laura Dupy. His Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 11am in the SOLIMINE LANDERGAN AND RICHARDSON FUNERAL HOME 426 BROADWAY (RTE129) LYNN, followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hour's Tuesday 4pm-8pm.
