Robert V. Nails, Jr., 57, of Chesapeake, VA, passed away March 15, 2011, in Chesapeake, VA. A native of Hartford, CT, he was employed with Richmond Cold Storage Co., Inc. as a Forklift Operator. He was a US Naval veteran of Vietnam. He is survived by his wife, Joan M. Nails; three daughters, Bobbie Lee of Chesapeake, VA, Billie Jo of Kentucky and Candice Marie of Chesapeake, VA; his mother, Janet Nails of Chesapeake, VA; a sister, Linda Smyder of Chesapeake, VA; four brothers, Terry of West Virginia, Shawn of Chesapeake, VA, Michael and Kenneth both of West Virginia; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Robert V. Nails, Sr. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
