Robert Wiley Nelson
1915 – 2011

Robert W. Nelson slipped peacefully from this world and returned to the presence of his Heavenly Father and his eternal companion on February 10, 2011. Robert was a faithful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family. He will be remembered by his family as an example of hard work, dedication, honesty, and faithfulness.
Robert was born in Lehi, Arizona April 3, 1915 to Sylvester Nelson and Eliza Charlotte Simkins. He married Melva Gale in the Mesa, Arizona Temple December 4, 1936. He was basically self taught and enjoyed reading and learning new things. Together he and Melva enjoyed traveling and visiting new places. Robert was a faithful member of the LDS Church and dependably served in various callings throughout his life.
He is survived by his children: Kay Heaps, R. Leon (Carole) Nelson, Ray (Joyce) Nelson, Steve (Cindi) Nelson, James Kevin Nelson (deceased) Mark (Wendy) Nelson, Janice (Tom) Child.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 15th, at noon at the Parkway Ward, 1208 West 12400 South, Riverton, UT. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services.
