Greece: Thursday, December 11, 2008. Predeceased by his wife, Shirley Davenport; longtime companion, Betty Pasternak. Survived by his sons, Robert J. (Sandra) Davenport, Thomas J. Davenport; brothers, James R. (Mary) Davenport, William J. (Elizabeth) Davenport; sister, Phyllis Davenport; nieces and nephews, Duane, Dawn, Sean, Susan & John; grand nieces and nephews; many loving friends. Robert was a retiree of the Rochester City Fire Department after 29 years of service. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. Friends may call Monday 6-8 PM at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home 1075 Long Pond Road. Friends may call Tuesday 10-11 AM where Robertâs Funeral Service will follow Tuesday 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the funeral home. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hildebrandt Hospice in his memory.
