"Bob" Robert Wayne Belmont

Robert Wayne Belmont, 53, of Dallas, died February 3rd 2012.
He was born to Barbara Sharp on May 9, 1958 in Brooklyn New York. Bob Belmont grew up in Brooklyn New York where he joined the U.S. Navy and spent 2.5 years at sea. He married Kim Bentley in 1983.
Bob passed at home in the presence of his family and God in Dallas TX at age 53. He was a loving husband of 28 years to Kim Belmont. Beloved father of Sarah Brooks, Matthew Belmont, and Emily Belmont.
Bob was an amazing person that loved the small things in life. He was a person that accomplished many things in his life but he considered his greatest accomplishment was his relationship with his family. This was exhibited by his close relationship to his brothers, Mark Belmont; Michael Belmont; Eddie Hughes; sister, Barbara Hughes; mother, Barbara Sharp and extended family. Bob was raised by a woman who taught him that life was not about what you have or the people you know, but being the best you can be and being happy with what you have in life. Bob lived everyday enjoying the things he loved and being with the people he loved. He was a wonderful son, brother, father, husband and friend. Bob and Kim raised their family teaching them that the most important thing in life is how you choose to see the world. He had a passion to make people laugh and smile. The way he saw the world was magical. He truly felt he was the luckiest man in the world all the way to the day he passed away.
A memorial will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday February 18th at the Bob Duncan Center in Arlington.
