Roberta Lynn (Hahn) Goldner, 55, of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 9, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 619 Market St., St. Joseph with Pastor Michael Roth officiating, burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Hospice at Home. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.
Roberta was born on February 8, 1956 to Robert and Janet (Farmer) Hahn in St. Joseph. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1974 and Lake Michigan College in 1976. Roberta also attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. She married John L. Goldner on November 26, 1988 at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Sodus, MI. Roberta started the Prayer Shawl Ministries in 2010 at Trinity, was a member of the Ladies Aid and also taught Sunday School for over 14 years. She owned and operated a daycare for over 20 years and in the 1980's worked for pediatrician Dr. Mukund Shah.
Roberta is survived by her husband John, her parents, two sisters Linda L. (George) Hass of Plymouth, MI and Karen A. Hahn of St. Joseph, three nieces Alicia Hass, Jennifer Hass and Krista Hass and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
