Roberta Susan Armes

Roberta Susan Armes, Born in Louisville, KY on April 11, 1922, Susan lived a full life. She was a ballroom dance instructor for Arthur Murray Studios in the 1940's, participating in ballroom dance competitions around the country and eventually managing a dance studio. As a single mother of two sons, she pursued a career in real estate brokerage, establishing her own brokerage firm in the 1960's. This led to a love for interior design and a change in careers during the 1970's. In 1978 she moved to Orlando where she continued as an interior designer, with photo displays of her work appearing in area publications. In the 1990's she took up water colors and had her worked displayed in area galleries. She is survived by one son, Michael McMahon; his wife Susan Murphy; and a granddaughter, April L. McMahon.
