Roger Allen Cole

Cole, Roger Allen, 70, passed away September 15, 2011. He was born May 9, 1941 to Chester Allen Arthur and Genevieve Ann (Mans) Cole in Wichita, KS. While serving his country in the Navy, he spent time in the ocean while atomic weapons were being tested. He later developed and survived lung cancer. He began his civilian career at Cessna and worked his way up to a supervising position. He worked for Vulcan Chemical until 2003 when he retired. He was a member of American Legion Post 406 in Andover. He was preceded in death by his parents. Roger is survived by his wife, Jane Cole; daughter, Denise (Jarrett) McRee; grandchildren, Cole Jarrett McRee and Caitlin Grace McRee; and sisters, Kathleen Farney and Penelope (Robert) Patterson. Visitation: Sunday, 2 - 5 pm. Funeral: 10 am, Monday, both at Lakeview Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
