Roger Richard Duncan, 55, of Pickens, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011.

He was born in Jersey City, NJ, the son of William and Sylvia Blanchard Duncan.

Roger retired from the US Army after 20 years of service. He received a degree in Accounting from Lander University and was a partner of Bradshaw, Gordon and Clinkscales Accounting Firm. He was of the Lutheran Faith.

Surviving are his wife, Christa Duncan, of the home; his son, Steven Duncan; his daughter, Melissa Duncan; his mother, Sylvia Duncan, of Jersey City, NJ; and his brother, John Duncan, of Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 19, 2011 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will take place in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Monday from 11:30am – 12:45pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oconee Hospice of the Foothills, 390 Keowee School Road, Seneca, SC 29672; or to American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
