Roger Paul Bedard, 93, of the 900 block of Captains Ct., Chesapeake, VA, died September 30, 2011. He was born in Nashua, NH, and was the son of the late Rudolph and Yvonne Bedard. Roger was a retired glazier and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a lifetime member of Boston Local #1044 and DAV Chapter #26, Chesapeake, VA. Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Elizabeth R. Bedard; two daughters, Denise Crittenden of Norfolk, VA and Kathryn A. Geick and her husband Gordon of Bow, NH; two grandchildren, Abigail E. Geick and Gavin G. Geick, both of Bow, NH; and two sisters, Lucille Richard of Manchester, NH and Estelle Phelps of Bridgeport, CT. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2011, in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
