Mr. Roland Alonzo "Tutt" Robbins, 90, died Tuesday morning (August 27, 2013) at Bayview Nursing Home in Nahunta following an extended illness. He was native of Belfast, ME before moving to Waycross years ago. He was a church planner in Mexico for 20 years before returning to Waycross to work in the insurance business at the age of 81. He was a former employee of American General Life and Accident of Waycross and a member of the Waycross Exchange Club. He was also a former member of University Blvd. Church of God and a current member of Gilchrist Park Church of God of Prophecy. Mr. Robbins served in the United States Navy during World War II as a pilot on an aircraft carrier in the South Pacific. He is survived by 8 children; and good friends, Wesley Harrell (wife Dianne) of Naylor; and Eric Dixon (wife Cami) of Waycross. Memorialization will be by cremation. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.musicfuneralhome.com. Music Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
