ROLANDO TUPAS ESPIRITU Rolando "Roly" Espiritu passed away on July 12, 2011 in Vancouver at the age of 80. He was born on June 13, 1931 in Manila, Philippines. He was raised in the Philippines and in 1955 he joined the U.S. Navy. He served as a Cook/Chef and retired in 1974. Roly married Carol Sherbeck in 1963 in Seattle, WA and they moved to Vancouver in 1980. He enjoyed bowling at Crosley Lanes in Vancouver. He also likes karaoke, dancing and traveling. Survivors include his wife, Carol; children, Ezra Espiritu of Colton, OR; James Espiritu of Vancouver; Sam Espiritu of Camas; Karyn Larson of Eagle Mountain, UT; Sean Espiritu of Vancouver; 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 18 at 11:30 AM at Straub's Funeral Home in Camas. Burial with military honors will follow at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
