Rollan "Rollie" O. Riddle, age 91, of 11036 9A Road, Plymouth, Indiana, passed away at 12:50 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2011, at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, in Plymouth. Rollan was born on November 5, 1919, in Plymouth, to Owen and Ella (Ottow) Riddle. On August 29, 1948, Rollan married the former Jean L. Poor in Plymouth. Together they raised their two daughters. Rollie attended Inwood United Methodist Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was a Staff Sergeant and was with Company A 324th Infantry. He served in Rhineland, Northern France, and Central Europe. Rollie was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. He retired from NIPSCO, in the gas and construction departments, after 33 years of service. He did a lot of traveling during that time. Rollie loved to fish, hunt deer, turkeys, and ducks. He also enjoyed bowling. Rollie is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Jean; their daughters, Barbara Riddle of Lafayette, Indiana and Suzanne (Doug) Feece of Plymouth; his sister, Velma (David) Jordan of South Bend, Indiana; his brother, Robert (Connie) Riddle of Mishawaka, Indiana; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Rollan was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Riddle.
