Bret was born November 21, 1956 in Paris, Texas and passed away December 31, 2011 in Irving, Texas. He was a graduate from North Lamar High School in Paris, Texas and he also held an Associate's Degree in Electronics. Bret, also lovingly known as, "Maverick" by many, loved hunting and fishing and was an avid Texas sports fan. He will be dearly missed by many. He is preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Laverne Jones; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Virginia Jones; maternal grandparents, Maud and Dulcie Slagle. He is survived by his only daughter, Jordan E. Jones; sisters, Cathy Jones, Libby Jones and Ginny Brown; niece, Sarah Hussy and nephew, Clint Hussy; former wife, Teresa Jones and by numerous cousins, especially, Larry and Terry Slagle. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Spring Hill Cemetery in Novice, Texas with close friend and minister Rev. Ricky Hayes officiating.
