Ronald E. Hopkins age 63, a resident of Ballard Street, Chocowinity, NC died Sunday October 9, 2011 at River Trace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Washington.
A memorial service will be held at 7:30PM Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 15th Street Church of God in Washington, NC.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30PM prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Hopkins was born in Norfolk, VA the son of the late Mack William Hopkins, Sr. and Eva Gray Wells Hopkins. Ronald worked as a painter most of his life. He worked with Bell's Painting for a number of years. He had many friends and enjoyed his life and time spent with his family and friends.
Ronald is survived by two grandchildren, Darrow Hopkins Buck and Jordan Hopkins both of Bayboro, NC and one great grandchild, Braxton Wallace Buck.
He was preceded In death by a son, Rodney Eugene Hopkins, a brother, Mack William Hopkins, Jr., and a sister Gloria Hopkins Jones.
