Ronald E. Oreskovich, 64, of Pueblo, Colo., passed away July 27, 2009. Survived by his wife of 40 years, Diana Q. Oreskovich; children, Kristy (Ian Cheng) Oreskovich of Albuquerque, N.M. and Ron Oreskovich of Pueblo; siblings, Sandy (Chuck) Riggio of Pueblo and Nick (Pat) Oreskovich of Golden, Colo.; grandchildren, Owen Cheng and Bryce Aumiller; uncle, John Petric of Pueblo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Elsie Oreskovich. Ron was born Feb. 8, 1945, in Pueblo. He served in the U.S. Air Force. In 1974, he started his career at Minnequa Bank and retired from the banking industry in 2005 after 31 years. Ron was proud of his Slovenian heritage and was a member of the Preseren Glee Club. He was also actively involved in the Catholic Diocese of Pueblo and other civic and community organizations. Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and other outdoor activities. Rosary, 7 p.m. Thursday and funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2009 , with the Reverend Father Ben Bacino as celebrant. Both services at St. Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church, 307 E. Mesa Ave. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Those who desire may make memorials to Preseren Glee Club through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, Colo. 81003.
