Ronald “Gene” Sneddon
1928 - 2010

Ronald Eugene “Gene” Sneddon passed away peacefully on July 11, 2010 at the age of 82, surrounded by his loved ones. Born February 3, 1928 in Soldier Summit, Utah to Richard Sneddon and Genevieve Miner.

In 1949, he married the love of his life, Lena Fabrizio to whom he was devoted for 62 years. Together, they ran a successful wholesale distributorship for 40 years. Gene served honorably in the Army during World War II.

Gene is survived by his wife Lena, daughters Diane (Ted) Young, Cynthia (Ferdinand) Zulueta and Debra Parker; grandchildren Bill Davis, Gina Aguayo, Nikol Parker and Tommie Young; sister Pat (Delon) Hawkins; brothers Al (Lynn) Sneddon and Jack (Mary) Sneddon. Preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jim, Ted, Bernard, Kenneth and Bill.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at St Mark’s Hospital for their compassionate care.

Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 E. Spring Lane. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the St. Mark’s Auxiliary, 1200 E. 3900 S. Salt Lake City, UT 84124. Donations will go to pulmonary and cardiac programs. Interment will be at Holladay Memorial Park directly following the mass.
