Ronald Lee Vetter, 72, of New Carlisle, Indiana, passed away, Sunday, May 2, 2010, in his home. Ronald was born June 30, 1937, in Bremer County, Iowa, to Reverend Walter C. and Esther (Piehler) Vetter. He retired from State Farm Insurance in Bloomington, Illinois as a supervisor of underwriters.

Surviving are his children, Stacey (Mark Orellana) Vetter-Weiss of New Carlisle, Indiana, Susan Miles of New Carlisle, Indiana, Shelley (Craig) Vetter-Hershberger of Decatur, Indiana, Steven (Kerry) Vetter of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren, Boston Weiss, Elizabeth Weiss, Drake Vetter, Ava Vetter, Cassie Gibson; sisters, Carol Meyers of Marengo, Illinois, Gloria Nelson of Rockford, Illinois, Virginia (Alan) Miller of Decatur, Indiana; a brother, Eugene (Judy Eggert) Vetter of Indianapolis, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

Ronald was a 1959 graduate of Purdue University where he held a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture. He was also a member of the Farmhouse Fraternity at Purdue.
