Ronald Gail Wignall, 70, of Moline, IL died Monday, February 13, 2012 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.

Ron donated his body to the University of Iowa Anatomy Department. Burial will be at a later date at the Rock Island Arsenal. As per Ron's request there will be no funeral services. Relatives and friends are welcome to help celebrate Ron's life at the home of Russ & Barb Wignall, 2815 28th Avenue, Rock Island, IL on Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 1 to 4 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ron was born on January 1, 1942 in Melcher, Iowa the son of Russell and Mildred (Walton) Wignall. He married Carolyn Bock on March 4, 1977 in Monmouth, IL. He graduated from Moline High School in 1960. Ron worked as a welder for Case IH. Ron served in the U.S. Army from 1964 – 1966. He was a member of the American Legion, Moline, IL.

Ron loved his grandchildren and also enjoyed watching golf and football especially the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Bears.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
