James Ronald "Ronnie" Deeter, age 65, died Monday, March 19, 2012 at his home in Searcy. He was born December 7, 1946 in Searcy to James L. "Doby" Deeter and NaDean Thompson Deeter. He worked as a pipeline welders helper with Local 798 and was a member of Hopewell Community Church. He is survived by one daughter, Tonia McDonald and her husband Earl of Amory, Mississippi; two grandchildren, Michael Martin of Oxford, Mississippi, MaKayla Martin of Amory, Mississippi; and his mother, NaDean Ledbetter of Searcy. Visitation is Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home. Funeral services are Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. The family has asked that memorials be made to St. Jude Research Hospital.
