Mr. Ronnie Lee Knowles, 51, died Tuesday morning (September 6, 2011) at Satilla Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Waycross where he was employed as a carpenter. He is preceded in death by his father, Jessie Knowles; and one sister, Janice Wheeler. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Martha Welch Knowles of Waycross; three daughters, Lori Cade (husband Alton), Donna Sears (husband Carl) and Georgette O'Berry (husband Dennis) all of Waycross; eight grandchildren, Michael and Cathy Sears, Christina Sears, Samuel Sears, Zach O'Berry, Ashley Turner, Katie Turner, Wendy Cox, Brian Cade and Christy Corbitt; five great grandchildren; his mother, Opal Westberry; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday (September 9, 2011) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.musicfuneralhome.com.
