Rose M. Wemette, age 74, of 500 South Montgomery Street, Apartment #110, Bremen, Indiana, 46504, passed away at 7:35 p.m., on Thursday, September 15, 2011, at Elkhart Hospice House in Elkhart, Indiana. Rose was born on November 21, 1936, in Peoria, Illinois, to William B. and Betty Jane (Ray) Ramsay. Rose was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Bremen, the Plymouth Women of the Moose #705, and the Bremen Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. Post #8972. She was retired from management in construction, heating and air conditioning, and Al Steel. Rose is survived by her daughters, Debra Lynn (John) Schweisthal of Illinois and Karen Jane Nelson of Bourbon, Indiana; her son, Kirk A. Nelson, Sr. of Bremen; her sisters, Sharon S. Ramsay of Nevada, and Rebecca (Daniel) Norman of Colorado; her brothers, William L. (Diane) Ramsay of Illinois and David B. (Connie) Ramsay of Illinois; five grandchildren, Kirk (Christy) Nelson, Jr., Summer C. (Jeremy) Williams, Marcus J. Schweisthal, Katie Rose Nelson, and Amy L. (Jon-Eric) Pomering; and five great-grandchildren. A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth, Indiana, assisted the family with arrangements. Memories may be shared at www.vangilderfuneralhome.com
