Roselia Wright was born on June 16, 1916 in Hampton County, South Carolina, daughter of Mary Lou Kittle Mitchell and Horny Mitchell. Roselia was joined in holy matrimony to Walter Wright on December 21, 1935. This union was blessed with three children, Robert, Ruby and Betty Jean. Mrs. Wright was a lifelong member of Heard A.M.E. Church in Roselle where she enjoyed participating with the South Carolina Club of the church. Roselia Wright departed this life on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at home at the age of 94. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter in 1983. "Ma-Ma" as the grandchildren called her, they loved and had a special bond with her. She took pleasure cooking and baking for them; especially her sweet potato pies. Anyone who met (Rose) loved her and knew she would do anything she could for them. Also, she never hesitated speaking her mind. She was a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed. She leaves to cherish fond memories, a son, Robert Wright (Eulalie) of Linden, NJ; two daughters, Ruby Van Kline (Wesley, Sr.) of Roselle, NJ and (Betty) Jean Norment (Preston) of Somerset, NJ; six grandchildren, Tonya Washington, Fayetteville, GA, Patricia Lewis, Rahway, NJ, Wanda Bulluck, Linden, NJ, Wesley Van Kline, Jr., Roselle, NJ, Evan Van Kline, Piscataway NJ and Dionne Ware, Somerset, NJ; twelve great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
