ROSETTA MAE ALBERTY

Rosetta Mae Alberty, 87, of Beckley went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 5, 2012.
Born June 19, 1924 in Welch, WV; she was a daughter of the late Michael and Katie Strome Strattis.
Rosetta loved shopping, cooking, watching TV, talking on the phone, but most of all loved taking care of her family and her animals. She was a very kind and caring lady helping anyone in any way that she could. She was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Shaffer Alberty; sons, Michael Desmond Alberty, Forrest Dean Alberty, and Roger Lee Alberty; a daughter, Sylvia Ann Strattis; a sister, Ellie Lucian; and four brothers, Jim Strattis, Roy Strattis, Phillip Strattis, and Bill Strattis.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Wesley Freeman Alberty; daughter, Margaret Lee Overbee; grandson, Rickey Joe Strattis and wife, Deborah; granddaughter, Michelle Renee Alberty; five great-grandchildren, Casey Strattis, Alexis Strattis, Max Alberty, Chelsea Alberty, and Emily Alberty; great –great grandchild, Sadie Alessandra Sylvia Strattis; and a daughter-in-law, Joyce Alberty.
Services were held 2:00PM Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Rev. Michael Knotts officiated. Following the services Rosetta was laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.
Friends gathered with the family from 1:00PM until time of the service on Thursday, February 9, 2012.
