Mr. Ross Bonnie 71 passed away January 1, 2012 in Apple Valley, California due to a Heart Attack. Ross was born July 19, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan. He was a California resident for 52 years living in the Victor Valley area for 15 years in the city of Apple Valley. He retired from Ford Motor Co. in 1988 after 30 years. In 1958 Ross won the Golden Glove Champion in Detroit, Michigan. He was a member of the Apple Valley Country Club for 6 years and was a avid golfer. Ross and Gail moved to Apple Valley in 1997. Ross continued his passion for hot rods and was a co-founder of the Cruzin Buddies Car Club. He valued the friendship and activities this club gave to him. Survivors include his wife, Gail Bonnie , Apple Valley, CA., Mother, Eva Bonnie of Victorville, CA Mother of his sons, Carol (married in 1960 in Michigan), Fullerton, CA sons, Ross Bonnie, Yorba Linda, CA Doug Bonnie, Brentwood, CA., and Bill Bonnie, Fullerton, CA. Step-daughter, Julie Buechler and Step-son-in-law, Ken Buechler both of Rancho Santa Fe , CA., Brother, Gregg Bonnie, and sister-in-law, Marilyn Bonnie both of Jefferson, MO., sister-in-law, Barbara Patterson and Brother-in-law, Guy Patterson, Gallatin, Tennessee. Ross is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Rachel Bonnie and Hannah Bonnie, Yorba Linda , CA, Kaila Bonnie and Nick Bonnie, Brentwood , CA., Hagen Buechler and Ingrid Buechler of Rancho Santa Fe, CA A Celebration of Ross Bonnie's life will be held on Monday, January 9th at the Roy Rogers Dale Evans Chapel at Sunset Hills, 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley, CA. A visitation time will be from 10-11 A.M. with services beginning at 11: A.M. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Memorial Park.
