Funeral services for Roy Galvan Turrubiate, 48, of Rosenberg, Texas will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, October 18, 2010 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Pastor Samuel Flores will officiate the services. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m., Sunday, October 17, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Roy was born September 18, 1962 in Richmond to Alfred and Maria Galvan Turrubiate He was a deputy for the Fort Bend County Sherriff's Office. He passed away October 15, 2010 in Richmond. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Maria Turrubiate; and brothers, Lupe, Bentigno, Ray, Jose and Juan Turrubiate. Roy is survived by his wife of 25, years, Mary Alice Turrubiate; children, Charles Allen Turrubiate and wife, Ashton, and Karina Turrubiate; granddaughter, Leah Marie Turrubiate; brothers, Alfredo Turrubiate, Sr. and wife, Cayetana, David Turrubiate and wife, Rosie, Ricardo Turrubiate and wife, Lydia, and Leonard Turrubiate and wife, Jennifer; sisters, Mary Lara, Christina Miranda and husband, Daniel, Yolanda Zepeda, Amelia Lopez and husband, Pablo, and Rosie Killingsworth and husband, Gary; along with other relatives and many friends. Pallbearers will be the Fort Bend County Department Honor Guard. Words of condolence may be left for the Turrubiate family at www.davisgreenlawnfh.com.
