Ruby C. Johnson, age 70, of Wellston, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012, at her home. She was born August 5, 1941 in Cranston (Morehead), Kentucky, the daughter of the late Davis Caudill and Leota Thornsberry Caudill. Ruby was a former employee of General Mills in Wellston for 20 years and she attended the Wellston Free Will Baptist Church. She is survived by 3 sons, Millis Johnson III (Rhonda) of Vinton, Steven C. Johnson (Cindy) of Jackson and Nathaniel Johnson (Carol) of Wellston; 2 daughters, Melinda Ballenger of Wellston and Gina Nelson (Jack) of Jackson; 2 sisters, Ada Cooper of Flemingsburg, Ky. and Regina Stevens of Morehead, Ky., as well as 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Millis Johnson, Jr. in 1990; 2 grandsons, Steven Clarence Johnson, Jr. and Steven Dowl Johnson; 1 sister, Frances Summers and 3 brothers, Sherman Caudill, William "Bill" Caudill and Curt Caudill. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 A.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Mullins and Pastor Tim Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery.
